TO CREATE AWARENESS AND ENCOURAGE A HEALTHY ACTIVE LIFESTYLE AMONG NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH THROUGH ONSITE PROGRAMMING AND ACTIVITIES.
FUNDS RAISED THROUGH THE EVENT WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE BICYCLES FOR IN-NEED TRIBAL YOUTH.
Michael Glauser is an avid cyclist and triathlete who will celebrate 20 years of working in the Native American gaming space in 2025. To celebrate this milestone and give back to the community in which he is involved, he will be riding over 2,000 miles and stopping at more than 20 tribal casinos and Reservations to create awareness and encourage a healthy active lifestyle among Native American Youth. The ride stretches from the Canadian border in Washington to the Mexican border south of San Diego. Along the route, Michael will conduct programs highlighting the importance of a healthy active lifestyle and bicycle safety for kids in local Tribal communities.
"I've worked with some great people and some great Tribal organizations over the years and over that time have recognized that there are challenges that face native youth when it comes to focusing on a healthy active lifestyle. The idea for this ride came along during the pandemic while the casino closures allotted me a little extra time on my bike than normal. My goal in this is to not only bring awareness to the community of the importance of being active at an early age but be able to do something that can leave a lasting impact within the community."
